MENTOR – Methods and New Tools for Organisational Development of Human Resources in Small and Medium Enterprises

The MENTOR project will develop and test methodologies and tools able to support SME managers in undertaking mentoring activities, with particular regard to in-company evaluation and the anticipation of training needs. The project will further analyse and evaluate results and performance with a particular focus upon innovation within SMEs. Project partners will initially undergo a comparative study of training opportunities and best practices on a European level. Beyond this, a training model will be developed along with a handbook and a series of support tools for use by SME managers during mentoring activity. All materials will be made available on CD-Rom format. Primary project beneficiaries will be SMEs, particularly those where activities are linked with the use of new technologies. Dissemination activities will include the publication of project specific materials, the hosting of a dedicated project website, regular mailings to the target group (SMEs) and a final project seminar.
