PROJECT
FINISHED
This project is part of the need to satisfy some of our institution’s aims concerning the qualitative evolution of our training practices. We believe, therefore, that the promotion of mutual learning opportunities and the sharing of some of our best practices by all participants, whether students, staff or graduate students in professional contexts with social, cultural and linguistic characteristics much different from our reality, will enhance a greater efficiency of our responsibility as a training organisation. This way, taking into account the current context at national and international levels regarding employment, we believe that this application, in particular, and our participation in other European projects like this one, encourages competitiveness policies and entrepreneurship in order to increase employment in a medium and long term period, contributing also to reduce poverty in Europe.Another aspect we consider relevant in this application, is the social aspect we wish to enhance. Actually, we believe that this project is a starting point for participants towards social inclusion and fighting poverty. Our experience shows us that these projects can be an opportunity for disadvantaged participants to experience new professional, cultural and linguistic experiences and even perhaps achieve a future employment status. The participants that will be involved in the planned activities should reach their own increasing needs and professional improvement on one hand, and personal development in the other hand, acquiring also language and cultural skills. The participants may be learners, graduate students or staff, who will be invited to accomplish this type of mobility experiences by contacting with different professional and training realities as opportunities of promoting enrichment and professional training. We intend to involve in this project a amount of 34 participants, 26 learners, 6 members of staff and 2 graduate students. So, the planned activities are addressed to different types of participants: beginning learners, young people who have completed their training and staff willing to acquire skills, answering to the learners and the organisation needs as a whole. The participants at their initial training will realise mobilities with a duration of four weeks. They will be accepted in companies or other organisations which develop a set of tasks that constitute their training plan, previously scheduled for sending, intermediary and host organisations. During the achievement of these training periods, the participants will have the opportunity to improve practices and also acquire new knowledge and contact with different professional backgrounds. Regarding the post-training activities for young level IV technicians (graduates), the training period will be longer than in the case of the learners, as these young people are about to start their working lives. We intend to realise mobilities with a duration of three months for these participants. For this reason, we believe that this project can be also a way to fight against youth unemployment in addition to make up gaps in terms of manpower qualification. Finally, this project is also intended to staff with mobility activities , in order to strengthen or acquire skills, by observing and comparing different practices and working methods or by developing small formative experiences during five days. During the achievement of this project, we will develop a monitoring work of the mobilities of the different groups of participants in a very close way, being possible to maintain a permanent contact between the responsible for the trainee monitoring, whether they are the training or formative tutors or representatives of our partner companies and intermediate schools. Therefore, we believe that the existence of a good strategy for cooperation and communication between all stakeholders is the most important fact fot the success of our planned activities. This strategy starts immediately with the selection of the applicants and the appropriate choice of training places until the execution of the entire evaluation process. As we are living in a changing living context in which the labor market is increasingly competitive, we believe this application will change and stimulate undoubtedly the spirit of entrepreneurship of each one of the participants in this project. This way, we hope being capable of answering, in a long-term way, to some common problems throughout all the European context such as the societies ageing and the existence of gaps in the workforce qualification, as well as the need to monitor all the technological developments in several professional contexts.
