Start date: Jun 23, 2014, End date: Nov 22, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

“MedioPhobia” is a youth exchange project, during which between 27th of September and 5th of October 2014, 30 young people from 5 countries: Croatia, Italy, Romania, Slovenia and Poland get together to experience and reflect about the role that social media play in today’s democratic societies and learn what tools they offer to be able to develop themselves and improve skills. They will have a chance to try themselves to “produce” media and thus, develop their competencies, to become more critical about what they hear and see in media and in the same time to discover other cultures by breaking cultural stereotypes. They will reflect on how social media influence European citizenship, how efficiently promote youth participation, active citizenship, democracy, importance to vote through this powerful tool. They will also develop tools that will enhance their competencies raising their chances of entering the labor market. Media plays very important role in today’s world. They are prerequisites of democracy, but at the same time they have immense influence on their receivers, especially young people who are very often confused by different messages coming across from media.
