The use of media in the EU plays an integral part in the day to day running and communication between European members. This media can take many forms but the message is to inform the inhabitants of the EU in relation to current topics and news. As EU members it is important that our young EU students become aware of the forms of media available and what uses exist to communicate to us. Not only this but also our young EU members need to understand that other countries perceive this information in different ways and that not all media is the same.Students from The Bilingual Secondary school in Balatonalmadi, Hungary and the Kalajoki upper secondary high school will work together to examine these different perceptions and uses of media in the EU. Students from both schools will work together to observe current EU media topics relating to: - the environment- racism within the EU- media and communicationEach topic will produce an English magazine in which the students will create articles on exploring these topics and how each country perceives them. The end result will be a trilogy of magazines in which the students will have worked together to explore and analyse these topics.
