MBA International Social Entrepreneurship
Start date: Oct 1, 2012,
Building on the existing relationships and drawing on the complementary strengths of the four participating universities from Australia and Europe,(face to face and distance learning universities) this innovative project will, for the first time, develop and deliver a collaborative MBA International Social Entrepreneurship. This programme is designed to prepare students to lead social enterprises; to produce entrepreneurs and managers whose goal is to resolve humankind’s most pressing social problems (poverty, hunger, environmental degradation, the integration of excluded groups, access to education, health services and financing) by placing critical yet accessible products and services on the market. The programme aims to satisfy the needs of competitive, sustainable, social organisations that are the product of open cooperation between social actors, institutional and regulatory support, creatively employing technology and business methods.Through this project to develop and implement the multi-badged joint degree (the MBA International Social Entrepreneurship) 40 students from both continents will study in the four institutions and engage with team project work, enabling them to develop their capacity to work across cultures, also helping building a vibrant ‘Euro-Australian’ network to develop and implement solutions for their partnering organisations from the public, private and not for profit sectors. The graduates of this programme will be our social innovators of the the future, and will pave the way for future graduates of this programme.
