The proposal addresses the problems of the professional youth care sector and is aimed to add new tools for education and exchange of knowledge regarding management in youth care. The objective of the project is to improve qualifications and skills of managers in youth care, with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe; a specific course programme will be developed. Target groups are managers in youth care who are confronted with changes, such as those working in institutes for residential child care, foster care, child protection, etc. The project results will include: detailed follow up and needs assessment in four participating countries, new international course for managers in youth care, 128 trained managers in youth care, 4 national courses for managers, a website and integration of training programme in curricula.
