Love and Respect - Preventing Teen Dating Violence

Teen dating violence (TDV) is a complex and among youth widespread problem. However in EU and national levels the problem of TDV is invisible in the areas of public policy, legislation and education system. Furthermore, there is no systematic approach to the prevention of TDV.Project “Love and Respect: Preventing Teen Dating Violence” aims to provide the youth workers with the competencies and tools for prevention of Teen Dating Violence problem. The project will meet following objectives: - To highlight the problem of TDV on national and international levels - To increase competencies of participants in realization of preventive projects on TDV and awareness raising projects about this problem - To share experience and best practises among participants - To introduce Erasmus+ programme and build partnership for future projects on prevention of TDVThe training course will be organized in Tbilisi, Georgia from 27.11. - 3.12. 2016. The training will bring together 18 participants from 5 different organizations (Zemekoule o.s. and Profem o.p.s. from the Czech Republic, CESI - Centar za edukaciju, savjetovanje i istrazivanje from Croatia; Society Without Violence from Armenia and Sakhli - Advice Center for Women from Georgia). Training course will be based on the principles of non-formal learning using following methods: practical workshops; presentations led by participants; discussions and brainstorming; small groups discussions; icebreakers, energizers, games; role playing; Theatre Forum; using open space technique for project development; group reflection and evaluation.Training course will interactively build theoretical and practical basis for prevention of TDV including following topics: problem analysis of TDV, sharing best practises, conflict resolution, work with aggressor, psychosocial support of victims of violence, skills for healthy relations, theatre forum method, Erasmus+ programme, learning methods of non-formal education in practise and others. Handbook on prevention of TDV will be developed based on the best practises of partner organizations and content of training course in order to equip any organization and youth workers with necessary tools and information to start own preventive activities on TDV. During the training course the partnership for future projects will be build. After the workshop on Erasmus+ program, participant will discuss ideas and develop the concept of new project.
