Erasmus Plus Learning Mobility for Youth Workers Ubuntu Recountinued was a job shadowing project between Institute Padma and VEDISCHER TEMPEL UND KUHSCHUTZ e.V.. In August 2014 2 youth workers from Slovenia went for 10 days to JANDELSBRUNN in Germany. The job shadowing activities started on 4th of August 2014. Both organizations are non profit, both have mainly young volunteers and both have vast experience with healthy lifestyle programmes, workshops and art education. Their aim of this job shadowing was to exchange good practice and to increase youth workers motivation for activities in the youth working area, which would help them in training unemployed young people and involve them in the projects dealing with soft skills development. Job shadowing activities took take place in Jandelsbrunn at the office of VEDISCHER TEMPEL AND KUHSCHUTZ e.V. where youth workers Simona Zupan Polše and Jože Zupan Polše learned about good practices with youth, shadow German youth workers in action and share their experience. During these 10 days of job shadowing, participants discussed and learned youth volunteering, event planning/management, how office works, social entrepreneurship (like producing organic products from food surplus and homegrown fruits and vegetables) , recognition of youth work, European certificates (Youthpass, Europass CV), intergenerational cooperation and healthy living by doing a healthy and international cooking class, with dishes prepared according to the ancient vedic cooking tradition of ayurveda and Nefiks certification and they had a lovely intercultural learning time.Participants shared their knowledge, expertise and insights to these topics and tried to find solutions for youth engagement in modern everyday challenges. After the job shadowing activity, the Slovenian youth workers presented their experience through dissemination events to the members of their organisation and to the local youth workers on open public presentation held in their premises in Ljubljana. Also German organisation had several presentations about Erasmus Plus and this project at their summer festivals in August 2014. In total there were nearly 100 participants of those events. This job shadowing helped to create a nice bond between both organisations and its members.
