The project "Live Healthily in a Healthy Environment" is going to be done by Polish, German, Turkish and Dutch lower secondary schools .The cooperation will be carrying out between the 4 schools by about 120 teachers and students directly involving. About 5000 people will participate in the project indirectly. It will be ensured by strong personal contacts, effective communication and joint planning over three year- time of cooperation. The main tool of communication will be the Internet and English will be a language used by all the participants during international conferences, mobility meetings and other events . The main objective of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle and natural world protection issues among students, their families and local societies. The topics of our project are connected with school subjects like: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, ITC, English and PE . That’s why it will result in enriching the knowledge and improving the key competences of the subjects. International cooperation will give a lot of opportunities for enhancing mobility of teachers and students and let them be more open-minded and tolerant for other nations and their culture. The project is going to help young learners to gain a better self- assessment and improve their attainments, which allow them to continue their studying in spite of some obstacles connected with personal, social and economic difficulties. The project activities are planned for partner schools and their students, partner schools teachers, students’ parents, and local communities. The new, active methods will be used in order to encourage projects' participants to learn from their partners within international workshops, additional science, nature and PE lessons, educational trips and making presentations. The students will be carrying out their own researches, gathering data and drawing conclusions. The students will work collaboratively, discuss materials while role-playing, debate, engage in case study, take part in cooperative learning, or produce short written texts connected with the project’s topics. The discussion will be held to think critically on the subject matter and use logic to evaluate their and others' positions. It will help students develop skills of synthesis and integration. The student debate will give them a chance to participate in a fun activity but it also lets them gain some experience with giving a verbal presentation. The team work and “learning by doing” will be the most popular methods in the project and they bring cooperative learning, positive attitude, individual accountability, face-to-face interaction, deeper understanding, social skills and better relationship with peers. The main tangible products of the international cooperation will be a multilingual brochure;”Live Healthily in a Healthy Environment”, multimedia presentations on the alternative sources of energy, which are used in the partner's countries, a multilingual dictionary with the important words connected with the project’s topics, a few leaflets in national languages with recipes for healthy dishes and a film with the sets of healthy activities, a common blog, written materials with photos on each school website,printed materials used during workshops and extra lessons and lessons scripts for project's school subjects. Our project will increase science literacy, develop basic and transversal skills,strengthen the profile of the teaching professions, improve language and ITC skills. Participants will also gain interpersonal and intercultural skills. They will become more-open minded and they will change their attitude towards teaching and learning. Teachers will gain new work experience and introduce new more creative and interesting methods, which encourage their students to participate in the additional lessons and to learn science subjects. The students will change their behavior, as they will be more responsible for their learning and actions. They will become more aware of their diet, sports activities and ecological issues. They will be more interested in taking part in PE lessons and buying healthy drinks and food.The cooperation between local authorities,ecological,health,sports,local industry,different services with schools will develop and the cooperation will result in improving the quality of life and lower pollution in their regions. All the materials produced by the project will be used by schools in the regions and encourage them to do other European projects and adapt the project issues. The project will influence on the schools work, their teachers, students and local community. The schools and teachers will gain new approaches towards teaching, students will be encouraged towards further learning, parents will see better chance for their children in the schools and local people will respect the schools as they will become the European institutions with a better offer of education.
