The training course was for mentors, EVS project worker and coordinators who feel the need to improve their understanding and ability to deal with potential conflict that can arise. The experience of the participants was the starting point of the activities and we explored potential conflict situations through forum theatre, discussions, group work and creative methods. The training was very practical and worked on ensuring that the participants brought home structures they can implement straight away in their organisation. Aim: This training course aimed to develop and enhance the ability of persons that hold key positions in EVS receiving and sending organisations in how recognise and deal with conflict situations that can arise during the life EVS project cycle. Objectives: • To explore effective communication with (potential) volunteers, and between receiving and sending organisations. • To identify potential conflict situations in EVS and explore how they can be prevented. • To develop competences to prevent and deal with conflicts as they arise.
