PROJECT
FINISHED
as written and applied for we did carry out an Training course in Belarus which was a follow up of several projects including people with disabilities but the idea came up in a training course in Ukraine in 2012, there was born the idea of this topic, and after some interaction with our national agency in 2013 we came to this final design that we carried out as in the application. this was a project in the frame of HRE regarding the dessicion making in the accessibility items for disabled persons. We had an very good TC in Ukraine, there were 10 countries involved: Now we made a new mix of reliable partners, 12 countries all new participants that were not in the accessibility TC in Ukraine. The venue was found finally in on of the connecting villages of Minsk in Belarussia. Especially the topic of decision making involving 6 eastern partners was indeed very interesting in the frame of european citizenship. the partnering countries involved were originally: the Netherlands, Romania, Greece, Poland, Croatia, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarussia and Russian federation, but poland dropped out because they did not get visa for unknown reasons and a guy in a wheelchair from azerbaijan was sick and could not travel, we were able to fill it up with extra participants from the other partners, because of course everything was arranged and payed for the amount of people as written in the application
we did do the actual Training from 4-12 october in a group facility close to Minsk. the number of participants and helpers was 40, on top of that trainers, helpers and facilitators. we had 4 participants with physical disabilities and 11 people with other disadvantages. We did have two trainers, one speaker and one facilitator, so the were 44 people. We did build the program completely based on non-formal learning activities. that means that it was a very interactive program with role-plays, team building, open space technologie, ice breakers, name games, energizers etc. etc. We expected after the course a lot of publications and follow up projects and after effects in the home towns of the participants and it actually did. it did affect the knowledge and attitude of the participants and they did disseminate this in their home situations and on the long term it will make a difference in policy making in europe. from this group now are applied 6 new projects in this moment and 11 of the participants applied for a long term EVS. all of them were active members of their organizations and half of them were also NEET so its a very good score.
