One of the major objectives of this youth exchange project, "Let ´ s be Active in Europe", in the city of Pinhel with the support of the municipality, relates closely with two will, on the one hand, the combat withdrawal and alienation of the younger generations about what is the common European project as well as its meaning, unifier, established social and economic daily through countless sources of information, mass media, academic studies, European and national reports. On the other hand, aims to promote the ideas and conclusions of the Council of 20 of May, 2014, on the promotion of youth entrepreneurship, promoting the social inclusion of these. The economic crisis that began in the second half of the last decade caused a situation of parti cular ¬ fragility to the current generation of young people. Youth unemployment rates remain at historically high levels, from 23.2% in the EU-28, and 23.8% in the euro area. Well, being the municipality of Pinhel a region fairly battered by unemployment and consequent emigration, taking this to the emptying and the losses often unrecoverable, particularly young people, human resources of the localities and the few remaining services. We want that with this youth exchange , that will held in Pinhel, from 24th to 31st July 2015, and with activities that during 6 days we will develop with these young, capture the attention of local youths who will also be invited to participate in the activities, giving them thus, through contact with their peers from other countries, a new dynamic, expressive horizons and knowledge that can help overcome some difficulties that they feel about living in inland areas zones and low population density. And in the end, they became MORE ACTIVE YOUNG EUROPEANS!
