PROJECT
FINISHED
Youth exchange "Let's play together" is an initiative of a group of young people with and without disabilities who want to collectively shape the surrounding reality and actively work at the international level. Young people want to focus on what they have in common and are interested in - on different types of games. They want to learn about games and fun played in other countries and learn about other cultures through this experience. During this project they would like to give young people from different coutries the possibility to meet in an international group and share their passions, experiences, skills. Within different workshops they would like to find out new ways of expressing themselves, give the opportunity to try something different than we normally do and get to know each other in the extraordinary way. During the exchange they would like to create a LARP game and in the end of the exchange invite local people to play with them. This is how they want to build a relationship, understanding, confidence in their own abilities, as well as overcome stereotypes and prevent discrimination. They want to promote the active participation of disabled people in social life of Europe.Participants of the exchange are 25 people (20 young people with and without disabilities, aged 18-25 from and 5 group leaders) from Poland, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy. During their visit to Poland in the Kashubian region (11-21.07.2016) participants will share their interests and ideas through independently organized and carried out activities about games. Based on peer education and the use of their own potential participants will learn from each other and get inspired. Thanks to the participation and organization of the joint venture participants learn about their peers from other countries and find out that regardless of race, religion, or degree of physical fitness they have much in common - they will expand their horizons, become more tolerant and open-minded. Young people build their self-esteem and find that it is worth being active because together they can shape the surrounding reality.
