PROJECT
FINISHED
Despite of rich and complicated history it can still be considered that contemporary Israeli and Polish societies do not know much about each other. It is especially true among young people, who have limited possibilities to meet and share cultures. The aim of the project titled “Let's meet again” is to contribute to the dialogue and reinforced contacts between new generations of young people from Israel and Poland, based on diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, common values of democracy, freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights. The project major activity is a Polish – Israeli youth exchange, which will be held in Kraków, Poland in October 2016. The project brings together 2 organizations from Poland and Israel. 22 participants of approximately 22-29 years of age will run the exchange supported by 2 leaders. The programme will address the following issues: knowledge of Poland, its current society, culture, political and economic situation and challenges as an EU member; knowledge of Israel, its current society, culture, political and economic situation and challenges as a democratic state; inter-cultural communication; inter-religious dialogue, European citizenship and awareness and co-operation in the field of youth. Young people planned this exchange themselves and will discuss about these subjects, visit places of common history and meet figures of political, social and cultural life and share their stories and cultures. The project will use mainly non-formal educational methods. By this youth exchange we would like to reinforce contacts between young people from Poland and Israel, based on new attitudes of us as young people. This project is also meant on more internationalization of our organizations and to offer more exciting possibilities for young people under the ERASMUS+ programme.
