This European Voluntary Service will bring together, from July 15 to August 15, 2016, nine young volunteers with fewer opportunities from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.This project comes from the observation that during the summer, in "sensitive" neighborhoods of Strasbourg, the people and especially children and young people living there often do not have the financial means to go on holiday and then find themselves spending their summer in their neighborhood without work or leisure, often excluded from the rest of society.The organization of street art animations, at the foot of buildings, will offer these children and youth interactive and intercultural activities organized by young volunteers from abroad on learning traditional music and instruments, dance steps, participating in creative workshops of recycling used item ... This EVS will also be beneficial for the young volunteers who will have the opportunity to share their practices and arts with the people and children of these neighborhood. This will result in enriching them personally and professionally. Indeed, the volonteers role is to create and develop (according to their respective interests) interactive and creative workshops, music, dance, recycling, quiz ... with various inhabitants of these neighborhoods, who are often in situations of economic, social and geographical difficulties, and thus offer diverse and eriching intercultural activities for children and youth who do not have the means to go on holiday.The volunteers will also create a blog where they will share the activities and their learning process within the EVS project and develop (following the meetings and discussions with local association and population) recommendations for the inclusion of marginalized people living in the suburbs of Strasbourg.The project's objectives:- Provide young participants new skills, attitudes, knowledge and tools promoting their employability;- Enable young volunteers to develop their social and professional skills related to art, including music and dance;- Stimulate reflection, exchange and sharing of ideas for young volunteers with fewer opportunities on the fight against exclusion and marginalization of people living in "sensitive" neighborhoods of Strasbourg;- Create different advocacy tools for the inclusion of persons and marginalized children, including a film and a blog updated regularly;- Discover best practices of local associations working for the inclusion of marginalized of excluded persons from society;- Develop recommendations and areas for improvement for the inclusion in society of children and marginalized people living in "sensitive" neighborhood of Strasbourg.The expected impact of the project is strengthening the capacities of young volunteers, mutual understanding between the youth from the sending and hosting organizations, increase their employability and their social and personal development. In addition, through this project, the partners associations can develop new projects and ideas, their knowledge of the realities in France and in other participating countries. Finally, the general public awaress for the inclusion of youth and children living in "sensitive" neighborhoods will be raise through the creation of a blog, a movie bout the EVS, recommandatons and articles written by the volunteers.
