Les hôteliers Jurassiens à la découverte de l'art culinaire et du service Anglais

WHO : Students during the initial training of their final year of professional baccalaureate « cooking » or »food and drink service » and students of first year of technical catering baccalaureate—European sections . NEEDS INTENDED :Make a work placement or training period in professional environment obligatory for their professional progression , for 25 to 30 students , in an Anglo-Saxon country and for an 8 week period linked to the reference sources for skills concerning the diplomas mentionned above . (application for Erasmus+ financing plan for 14 students ) AIMS and RESULTS :This stay is destined to enable students to be immersed in an Anglo-Saxon surrounding and to discover new gastronomic cultures . This trip corresponds to the school project for the opening towards the international field and corresponds to the objectives of the European section , in order to highlight the technical teaching of English and the practice of it . -Discover Anglo-Saxon customers'consumption habits in order to answer their needs in the best way -Discover local culture ( museums , gastronomy ,local current events , organization of society , etc...) . The programme is also composed of visits : renowned hotels , markets , delicatessen and famous restaurants . These excursions , organized by the school teaching team will allow students to be faced to specific activities performed in hotel trade , but also to discover Anglo-Saxon gastronomy and to understand all the international influences .The choice of the visits has been made in order to answer the objective of flexibility of the technical baccalaureate and to reinforce the chosen valence of the professional baccalaureate . So , the programme provides for the visits of bedrooms , hotel receptions , restaurants rooms , bars and also kitchens and premises linked to them .These visits are privileged moments and allow students to exchange with Anglo-Saxon professionals and to understand better the differences between their work organization and what they are used to see in France . -Discover the historical attractions of the main cities situated next to their work placements : visits of museums and architectural walking trails . -Acquire a larger autonomy , develop their adaptability and integration ability in a foreign country . -Acquire a better ease in English language for their exam and their later professional insertion . -Develop their European citizenship notions . -Reinforce the sinergy between the students , their professional environment and the teaching team . -Show the students the opening capacity of English companies to welcome and train trainees and to propose a job to them later . -Immerse themselves in new tools , new working and organization methods in a foreign country .in order to transpose them into the content of the trainings . The implication of both vocational and general teachers in this project allows to develop the interdisciplinarity of different knowledges and skills through each discipline . -Obtain the Europro and Europass mobility certificates. -Use national tools : Europass CV and Europass language passport . -Acquire the European Section distinction on the diplomas of professional and technical baccalaureates obtaining the minimal mark of 10 /20 at the specific test and 12/20 at the general language test of the baccalaureate . -For the professionnal baccalaureate: take the assessment certification carried out by both the tutor of the establishment and the professional teacher to obtain the professional baccalaureate . -For the technical baccalaureate:take the assessment for social skills and knowledges carried out by both the tutor of the establishment and the professional teacher . WHERE and WHEN : In the different parts of the United Kingdom to avoid the concentration of students in a single place , which would be against a good acquisition of English language and a good integration to the working teams and also against local life ( during days off). For examples , the following cities have been chosen : London , Altricham , Chester , Hull , Clitheroe , etc...for an 8 week period from March , 2015 to April , 2015 , busy period .
