Nowadays, the European students mobility is increasing. We would like to offer the same opportunities to the students of our school – Parc Saint Jean technical school, located in south of France and mostly composed of dropped out and underprivileged students -. Since 2009, about fifteen students have attended the English courses of the European section each year. First of all, we expect them to be motivated and interested in other languages and cultures. Our aim is to increase the mobility of our underprivileged students and to offer them good opportunities. Moreover, we would like them to be more confident, willing to learn new things and open to change, in order to help them to find a job in PACA region or in Europe. We strongly encourage them to continue their studies after high school. This ERASMUS + program concerns school learners.Profile of the school learners:• Age: 16 – 18 years old• Students’ diploma: GNVQ in Commerce• Number of students: 11• Educational background: mainly ‘chaotic’ educational backgrounds (grade repetition, school reorientation…).Project Schedule:• Before the training: selection of the students based on objective and quantifiable criteria, establishing conditions of the contract between our partner in England (AFC) and our school.• During the training: extra language courses in English and ‘DNL’: non-linguistic subject- (Commerce). Project funding (the students sell chocolates, cards… at school). Communication between the students and the partners in England (Skype, e-mail, phone).• During the mobility period: The students arrive in England with their teachers (the English teacher and the non-linguistic subject teacher). The teachers introduce them to their host families and their tutors. Our partner in England -AFC- is responsible for the supervivision for 4 weeks. At the end of the work placement, the two teachers fly back for the students’assessment. And fly back to France with the students at the end.• After the mobility period: different certifications are provided to the students (Europass, Europro, Non-language subject-…).The impacts generated by the mobility are essential. The students improve their confidence in speaking and their level of English-speaking, find jobs more easily, in France or in Europe. The project management team is more motivated, eager to promote education, mobility and to reinforce succesfull academic achievements. After six mobility periods – since 2009 -, the European section is now viable and permanent. The ERASMUS + program provides our students a trip and stay abroad and good memories. The students got a valuable work experience and become more motivated to learn foreign languages. We have decided to continue our program in Worthing in England and we got new partners. That is the reason why we are applying for a 24 month-ERASMUS+ program (two different mobility periods in England for two different groups). The project management team would like to reinforce and to focus on key points :• Material, human and financial resources: a new language laboratory, one more non-linguistic subject teacher, outside activities.• Activity: get more experience and work on the quality of the organisation.• Expected results: facilitate the learning process, better division of work, promotion of the section, more financial resources, maintain a high level of quality, high-quality documents.
