The mobility project "Learning and teaching in a European context" includes the mobility of 43 apprentices and three teaching personal from Leipzig. The teaching personal will be travelling to Lithuania in order to help the public vocational school in Kaunas in establishing a new training programme. They will give practical workshops as well as advice on how to establish a training programme about horse osteopathy. Eight apprentices from the LAB - Leipziger Aus- und Weiterbildungsbetriebe GmbH of the Leipzig public transport company will get the opportunity to broaden their professional as well as personal horizon during a three week internship in a Spanish transportation company (administration apprentices) and in a Spanish vocational school (technical apprentices) in Granada. An accompanying intensive language course and comprehensive tutoring by the hosting organisation M.E.P. will ease their entry in the new working-, learning- and living context. 35 future paramedics of Johanniter Akademie Mitteldeutschland get the chance to proof their professional and linguistic knowlegde working alongside British colleagues in ambulance services in the UK. The stay of the participants will be prepared and evaluated by the sending institution wisamar in joint information meetings. In close cooperation with the local project partners and wisamar internships, study visits programmes, accommodation, meals and travel of participants will be organized. Also the monitoring and evaluation of the learning outcomes and the monitoring and evaluation of the stay on site will be conducted transparently and in close cooperation between all partners. For the apprentice mobility ECVET criteria will be used to evaluate the learning outcomes. As the results and impact of the mobility project, all participants shall be able to strengthen their professional and foreign language skills. Secondly, the experience of the European mobility should provide an important impetus for the expansion of personal horizons, self-awareness, personal responsibility and the ability to work in and contribute to new (working) relationships.A long-term benefits of the working and study time abroad is obtained for the participants by increasing their chances on the labor market - those who gained professional experience abroad as well as new personal and professional skills and competencies complement their profile as professionals in the long term.
