Lille’s educational board (called Académie) created back in September 2011 a platform called PIMEN_aan, taking support on its cross border position (Germany, England, Holland), which aims to encourage the learning mobility of students and apprentices from vocational colleges. Team of lecturers from those colleges share the same objectives of social and professional integration for their students and apprentices; they share their experiences and their tools on the site dedicated to the platform: www.pimen-aan.eu. The institutions partners of the joint projet LEO –PIMEN2 all subscribe to the platform PIMEN_aan and take part actively to its objective of developing social and professional integration through European mobility: - For the learners: by developing their access to autonomy, their abilities to learn the job in European companies, to improve their linguistic and professional skills. - For the colleges : to create, develop and consolidate partnership between establishments and partnership with the economic word in Europe, to make professional training more attractive for young people. Partners who subscribe to the platform PIMEN_aan, have designated a European mobility coordinator whose main activities are: To participate to information’s meetings and follow up meetings, to collect information, to prepare participants, to select and prepare the cultural and linguistic modules of training, to work on the logistic aspect and the curriculum preparation, and to finalize the work placement ; to evaluate and analyze the added value externally and questioning the participants. The project LEA-PIMEN2 is targeted at 105 participants from the French level 5 to 4 (which is an equivalent to technical A Level); most of those participants will be 16-17 years old. Often youngster taking part have not experience of going away from home, but are very keen to improve their professional and linguistic skills in a company in Europe. To prepare the participant to this mobility, activities are organized in France and abroad. The content is set by the mobility coordinator according to the level of linguistic ability and the level of knowledge of the country by the participant. The DEIC’s role : finalizing the application form; to set up steering groups, to animate the team of lecturers, to help to find partners in Europe, to write up the educational reports, to give the EUROPASS to participants. The role of partners sending students : to set up actions for the mobility coordinator and/or the director of the establishment, to give feedback to the DEIC, to prepare all participants for their mobility, to do the follow up of the mobility, to evaluate, and to bring to date the internet site with all new information www.pimen-aan.eu The tutor in the company welcoming the participant will be responsible for checking the skills acquired during the work placement. Results expected are on several fronts 1/ for participants: To acquire and validate skills acquired during the work placement :: linguistic skills, social and cultural skills, abilities to make an analysis, abilities to reflect and communicate, abilities to develop a European attitude respecting of all. 2/ for lecturers: To acquire organizational, linguistic and cultural skills, and communication skills. 3/ for the regional educational board (l’académie): To promote regionally and nationally the platform PIMEN_aan: to share and mutualise all information and results towards colleges. The main method used to communicate on the result of the project LEO-PIMEN2 will be through the internet site www.pimen-aan.eu . This site is already known as a main information tool and resources for professional mobility. The project LEO- PIMEN2 will be communicated on the academic, regional, crossborder and European level.
