The project consists of three pillars: I) pupils mobilities: -1 vocational students Group (9) from the study direction ' CNC controlled machine tools ' is going to be one week practice lessons in a Finnish school-SALPAUS-in Lahti. ather the first week these students will go for 2 weeks on internship in Finnish companies. They reside in apartments -a second group of students from the professional disciplines ' hair stylist ' (8) and ' care ' (7) is 3 weeks on internship in London these students stay in host families. A large part (+ 65%) of our school population consists of GOK-pupils. These are so-called ' disadvantaged ' students. We want to offer these students the opportunity to gain international experience in order to raise their chances on the labour market. Offering these students the opportunity on participation in an international project, we want to prevent early school leaving II) teachers: We want to acquaint teachers with the Finnish education system and offer them the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues. The aim is to exchange good practices and at the Finnish colleagues , to take a look in their classrooms and teach 'guest lectures' to Finnish pupils in English. We expect that this is a win-win situation for PISO en SALPAUS III) management and staff members: the planned educational reforms will require us to adjust our vision and the organisation of our school. To do this in an appropriate and thoughtful way to, we want to raise our insight in the education system of Finland and change thaughts with our colleagues in Salpaus (= consortium of schools in Lahti-Finland) We want tolearn about school organization, guidance of pupils and pedagogical approach of problem situations such as bullying, immigrants etc.. Each group will of course taste the culture, habits and customs of the country in question. This experience will raise at every level the awareness of the need for pushing the boundaries, internationalization in education, increasing mobility within Europe -for learners and trainers-and widening the vision of internationalization in general. This project will contribute to increasing tolerance, broaden the spirits, strengthen the European ideal and to demonstrate the advantages of mobility for young people.
