Background:
Our school has had several multilateral Comenius-projects with enormous success. We are interested to know more about the school systems in the countries, we haveworked with . What are the way they teach, what do they teach.
And we want to be a member of an European school system that works internationally..
Objectives:
To get inspiration to teaching and ways of acting in "School life" and awareness of the European dimension. To improve partnerships and joint educational activities and mobilities.
Profiles of participants:
The 3 participants have all participated and arranged international projects. One teacher (Ove Rimi Andersen) wants to start visits for few skilled students so that they will be able to stay at the visiting school for a longer period to improve their language. Another (Benedikte Neergaard Andersen) wants to investigate similarities and differences in the way Dutch and Danish student are taught English. And the third (Birgit Heinskou) wants to study teaching of social science in the Netherlands.- The two countries have many similarities, perhaps. And visiting Iceland should improve the understanding of a former part of Denmark, seeing their new ways of creating independence also in their teaching system. Also to start contact between students.
Methodology:
Studies on beforehand about the country visited,school system, history, culture.
Activities:
job shadowing, team teaching, interviews, discussions with teachers, students and headmaster.
Results:
Inspirate collegues by giving pp-show, lectures, summaries of the influence the visit has had.
Long term benefit:
Get a broader international point of view concerning teaching by new knowledge . Learn to find inspiration from the whole Europe.
