Organized on three levels: primary, lower secondary and higher secondary with students aged 6 to 18, being the only theoretical high school in the area, our school is situated in Sacele, in Brasov County. In spite of the exceptional teachers with extensive experience in European projects and the significant investment in the infrastructure and facilities, our school confronts major risks: a negative attitude of the students and their parents regarding the quality (relevancy and adequacy) of the educational process, the alarming decrease in the number of the local students, as they choose to attend other schools in Brasov City, despite the commuting difficulty, low insertion into the labour market after graduating, a small number of those who successfully attend university courses and, last but not least, an increasing rate in school abandonment of those who choose to work abroad. This project is thought to meet our school’s current development needs and, by valuing the results over a two-year period, it aims mainly at increasing the quality of the educational process on three important directions in our European Development Plan: 1. Internationalisation 2. Teaching innovation and facilitating the transition to the digital era in education 3. Educational and professional counselling of the students: creating a student profile required by the labor market 16 members of the teacher and management stuff will participate at various courses provided by acknowledged international institutions chosen by the project team, which correspond to the school’s development needs: 7. “How to make your school more international” 8. “Best Practices Benchmarking” 9. “Tap-Swipe-Pinch” 10. “Identify the Hidden Talent in Your Classroom” 11. “How to stimulate the entrepreneurial attitude for a better integration into the labour market” 12. “Intercultural and Communication Skills” Theparticipants will be selected by an external comission of evaluators after a transparent and fair process: an open call, followed by the candidates’ application of a letter and a CV and an intreview. The selected candidates will receive all the necessary support (funds, transport, acommodation, documents) and information from the project team (including scientific, linguistic and intercultural training). At the end of the mobility, they will write a final report and will supply all the documents required by the contract. The project team will monitor the follow-up activities: elaborating the plans, setting the work teams, training the other teachers in the school, integrating the new aquisitions / methods / strategies into the teaching and learning process, diseminating the outcomes according to the plan, activating on the E-twinning platform, evaluation. The expected impact will be on diffeerent levels: Participants: personal and professional aspects will improve (changes in the perspective, new information, abilities, competences and career prospects) Institution: internationalisation and innovation plans, team work, curricular development, resources Other teachers: motivation, professional refreshment, advantages deriving from the project’s outcomes Students: improving learning competences, a better careercounselling and orientation, developing a successful path and achieving the right profile required on the labour market Local community: strengthening the connections among the school-family-local community-local labour market, as a fundamental resource in the durable development National and international level: sharing the experience and outcomes of the project on the internet: the project web site, national web sites (e.g.: didactic.ro, erasmus+) and international ones, on social networks, by suggesting new E- twinning projects and partnerships. Every participant in the mobility will receive a European Mobility Certificate. This project would provide the chance for our school to value its strengths (tradition, human resources and investments) and to counterbalance its risks (early school leaving, migration of the local students and working force to Brasov City, economic decrease in the area), leading to achieving its main goal stated as follows: “to prepare the students to become autonomous, responsible and capable to take decisions for their future and to be able to live and work independently and successfully anywhere in the world”.
