"Learning and growing together" will be an EVS project for one volunteer from the United Kingdom. The volunteer will be based in the state general education institution “Kirov Lyceum of physics and mathematics” in Russia. The project will focus on themes such as cultural awareness, youth, education and teaching and learning of foreign languages. The Lyceum has experience in working in the international youth field and has been implementing international youth programmes in the past. By hosting an EVS volunteer, the Lyceum aims to allow young people to learn about new cultures and languages, to experience non-formal education and to learn through after-class activities and voluntary actions. Besides, the project targets the development of international cooperation in the field of volunteering and active citizenship. The mobility activity will be long term (10 months) to allow the volunteer time to really get involved with the hosting organisation and the work the Lyceum is doing, as well as having the opportunity to develop his own personal project. The volunteer will be fully integrated into the activities of the Lyceum and will be given the opportunities to focus on elements that most interest him and to develop new skills, experiences and knowledge that will enhance his employability and personal professional development. The project will be implemented with support of an experienced organization in the EVS field - SFERA movement in Russia, acting as contact point and consultant during the project.
