We are a group of 16 youngsters of the age 15-16 and 3 adult leaders. Our partner group from Spain has also 16 youngsters of the same age and 2 adult leaders. They are coming from a small town called Borox to our home village, Simpele Rautjärvi. Our project is called: Learn to see the world by new eyes. The project includes music and sport activities in the environment of the resort of Pitkäjärvi for 8 days. The purpose is to spend time with Spanish youngsters 24/7. the theam of this international project is called: togetherness and to increase sense of community with sports and music. The purpose is that the exchanges happen in 28.3-4.4.2015 when the Spanish group are supposed to come here in Finland and 5.7-12.7.2015 when we are supposed to go to Spain. The Finnish youngsters have planned sport and music activities including songs, games, band activities and getting to know Finnish culture. We also have games that will help us get to know other people and their culture. We want to get to know things about Spanish culture and language and also teach them about our culture. We want to give them an experience of Finnish life. In Spain we are discovering new way to see familiar things to us and of course in Finland Spanish people are discovering the same things. We want to grow tolerance with this project, which will show outside and feel inside.
