“Lead for a reason” international training course will take place from 30th of March till 5th of April in Casa Badalamenti, Sicily, and will bring together 20 participants from 5 partner organizations representing different countries and regions in Europe. The project aims to empower young people with skills and knowledge to develop and lead international youth and volunteer activities, increase intercultural competencies, share best practices and contribute to improving quantity and quality of activities under the Youth in Action programme. Additionally to leadership skills, the program will include 3 learning streams – on human rights, social inclusion and sustainable lifestyle, which will be prepared and organized by the participants, and will be a practical possibility to try their leadership skills, develop and practice educational materials and methods for future youth and volunteer projects, and enhance their learning component. Methods used during the training will contribute to the process of informal and non-formal learning, social and personal development of the participants. During the training course participants will discuss and plan follow up activities, short- and long-term international volunteer projects on the topics of human rights, social inclusion and sustainable lifestyle, organized by InformaGiovani network and its partners which will be realized at national and international level during 2013 and beyond, including those in framework of Youth in Action programme.
