The “Le réseau EPE” project aims at improving the quality of vocational training and education within the sector of circus’ art. This aim will be reached by creating a network for the development of European exchanges amongst professional schools on circus’ arts, by collecting best practices on the topic considered and developing six training modules on circus art’s techniques. The expected exchanges of experiences and training contents will at short term contribute to improve the competences of circus’ art teachers, trainers and students. A long term objective of the project is the development of a common European teaching programme on the topic considered and its formal acknowledgement. Results of the project are represented by a network, vocational training modules, handbooks, films on DVD concerning the principal circus’ techniques. In order to valorise its results, the project will at first disseminate them within the schools members of FEDEC (federation européennes des écoles de cirque professionnelles) and successively to extend them to others schools of circus art by a web site and distributing the produced materials. The primary beneficiaries of the project will be the circus art’s trainers employed within the schools member of FEDEC. Trainers of other schools and student on circus’ art will also benefit from the project’s results.
