The project has increased the technical infrastructure and equipment level of Lithuanian (Marijampole and Alytus) and Polish (Podlaskie voivodeship) fire brigades in order to run effective fire-rescue operations in case of national and transnational incidents. Special equipment for chemical, ecological and flood rescue brigades has been purchased: a container-built-on carrier with equipment enabling co-ordination of many rescue services during crisis operations, and a server for data exchange (maps, resources, prognoses) among rescue services during rescue actions. They have been shared among project partners, which should ensure efficient complimentary operations on the Lithuania-Poland border territory.
