"Nearest school for all"Context/background of project: Consortium applies for Erasmus+ for the first time. Vantaa basic education (concortium)offers education in "near school" -pricinpal for 20 000 pupils of whom nearly 20 % are of migrant backround and nearly 10% with special needs. Regional coordinators support schools in developing inclusive education settings for all pupils. ICT, especially tablets are widely used in schools and all schools have an open net. Vantaa receives many school visitors yearly and is willing to create a network of schools receiving these visitors in a "structured school visit" in order to get familiar with the "near school" -principal, inclusion and ICT pedagogy. Concortium is willing to develop the international cooperation and is therefore applying for Erasmus+. Objectives of your project: Objectives of the project is to create a structured school visit model for Vantaa. Objective is to strengthen principals role in creating inclusive school settings for all pupils. Objective is to increase teachers skills in ICT, inclusion and European cooperation. Objective is to strengten regional coordinators role in supporting the school development. Objective is to gain skills to realize the new curricula 2016. Number and profile of participants: Six teachers, three principals and three regional coordinators from three different schools (Veromäki, Viertola, Vierumäki) from three areas will join study visits in Ireland, Italy and UK. All of them will be engaged in developing European cooperation and structured school visit-model further during school year 2016-17. Methodology & activities to be used in carrying out the project: Coordinator organise info, midterm and final meetings for the participants. During the study trip participants keep learning diary and do peer and self assessment. After study trip they will keep workshops of the gained skills and ideas. Communication in between the participants will be online via social media. Short description of the results and impact envisaged: Schools will further develop inclusive settings and have more intercultural skills. Schools will develop ICT pedagogy in an European perspective. Consortium will gain first experience of Erasmus cooperation and further develop structured school visits for international school visitors. Longer term benefits: In long run European and international cooperation will be strengthened in consortium's strategic plans. Schools will create international groups and activate European cooperation eg. via eTwinning and teachers cooperation.
