KA1 Learning Mobility of Individuals Kemin lyseon lukio Finland High Quality Intercultural Co-operation Kemin lyseon lukio, located in the North of Finland, is a senior secondary school with 400 students and 26 teachers. With Erasmus+ project we continued our existing co-operation with international partner schools but also started new co-operation with a school located in Rome, Italy. The deputy head of the school and nine of the teachers took part in the activities mentioned above. Moreover, one of the objectives was to become more skilled at making use of ICT and social media in teaching. This included two of the teachers (but later practices are meant to be used by all the staff members). There were four different activities within the project. Two of the activities were connected with the existing partner schools in Stockholm (Sweden) and Madrid (Spain), and the continuation of co-operation with them by doing job shadowing, whereas other activities included participation in teaching and learning conferences in Sevilla (Spain). The forth activity took place in Rome, and its objective was to make preparations for job shadowing/observation and later also had teacher training in the partner school. The new national curriculum for senior secondary schools (2016) will lay more emphasis on internationalizing, and the activities of the project will be the necessary groundwork to help us meet the requirements. The activities carried out within the project will increase the teaching staff’s knowledge of using ICT in teaching and also improve the ability to work in a high-quality international environment with foreign colleagues. This, in turn, will lead to improved quality in teaching and enhance job satisfaction and well-being in general. On the other hand, students’ knowledge of international affairs and their experiences in an international environment will increase, and ultimately that will have a positive effect on their learning and achievements.
