Saint-Exupéry is a secondary school, his project is founded on exchanges and partnerships. From 10 years we put on eight partnerships with foreigners comprehensive or vocational schools. (Spain, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Mexico, Brazil...)
The exchanges concern all the ways of training, general, tecnological or vocational.
More than educacional objectives of technics and vocational learning this project represents a way to promote vocational curriculum and to allow students get confidence and self estimation.
The project includes a social, cultural and linguistic constituent, essential to citizen and personnal development.
Students are members of several tecnical classes and they consolidate training for the third and last year of secondary curriculum.
Most of them come from humble families who don't get used mobility.
Each year two groups of students will be concerned by the exchange : 10 for Spain, 12 for Sweden
They are involved in their school course and, sometimes, they don't imagine a social progress. The project is a first experience which can show another reality and perspectives.
After over a first cooperation period including exchanges involving our students around mecanic and aeronautic tecnics, we have defined a common aim around the central question of what , in either country, beyond differences and similarities , may constitute the bases of a common practice.
That is why in order to complete our agenda, we intend, in the course of the next two years to :
- Commit our students to a mutual reflexion on some tecnical practices.
- Organise pair of tecnicians students to work on tecnical systems
- Promote using two foreign European languages through a common work (english or spanish).
During exchange visits, the students will get to know the educational system of the partner institution with a special focus on tecnics teaching. The fact that both schools have in their contiguity industrial plants which play strategic/key part in the development of each region will be conducive to keeping the priority role of tecnics in implementation of the planned goals of the partnership. The students will also be given the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural life of the partner.
