L’organisation des temps libres en France et en Finlande: Échanges de pratiques entre responsables d'organisations jeunesse

Practices exchanges between French and Finnish managers of youth organizations: leisure time organization in Finland and France.
This project will enable the leaders of youth organizations from:
- understand the socio-economic realities of the country, and of the Organization of the different times (school, leisure...)
- understand the functioning of managers organizations of leisure and suitable leisure (handicap)
- Exchange practices between leaders of socio-cultural structures
- understand the involvement of the public organisation on the topic of free time
- understand the role of civil society in support of the free time
- understand the reality of the socio-cultural animation
5 french youth workers are involved in this mobility project: two men and three women, aged from 29 to 48:
- a Director of social centre
- two directors of an association of youth
- a Deputy Director of a federation of popular education
- an assistant of coordination of an association offering leisure to young people with disabilities
This group will be hosted in Finland by the leaders of the youth service of the Porvoo municipality.
This mobility project will build on:
- 3 workshops of practices exchanges between managers
- 3 field visits
- Times of observations
- Meetings with associative and local elected people
All these activities will take place from 13 to 17 October 2014, in Porvoo, Finland.
Each workshop will address a specific topic:
- The theme of disability
What are the actors involved in the free-time management of youth with disabilities?
How the leaders and officials of animation youth structure take into account young carriers of handicap?
How are trained youth workers to taking account of disability?
- The theme of the associative
What associations or third sector position in the field of youth animation?
What are the financial funding of these associations?
What is the place of volunteers?
How young people participate in these associations?
- The theme of the team management
What are the different jobs and training of youth workers in France and in Finland?
In which legislation, rules, do the youth workers fit?
What policies govern the field of animation?
These workshops will be prepared upstream between the partners. These workshops will be led in English.
The planned field visits:
- Youth houses
- Animation training center
- Meeting of elected people
> Role of the french partner Familles Rurales Fédération Régionale:
- General coordination of the project: organizational, pedagogical, administrative
- Participants preparation
- Cooperation with the Finnish partner
- Participation in the drafting of documents (summaries, reports, etc.)
- Valorisation of the project: link with the media in France
- Organization of a public restitution in France,
- results dissemination
> Role of the Finnish partner Porvoo municipality :
- Local organization: contact with local partners
- Preparation of the reception of the Group
- Cooperation with the french partner
- Valorisation of mobility during the stay: link with local media
- Participation in the General preparation of the project
- Results dissemination
Participants are managers of youth organisations.
Among the 5 participants, the Deputy Director of the federation will be guaranteeing the smooth running of the project, will be attentive to each, will facilitate relations with the partner, and will coordinate the project.
Impacts on participating people:
-improving their skills in the field of the management of the youth structures
-better understanding of the practices of socio-cultural animation in Finland
-innovation in their practices
-strengthening of their European citizenship
Impacts on partners :
-recognition of the organisations at the European level
-strengthening of the partnership between the 2 partners
-better knowledge of structures
-dissemination of good practices of the different countries
-strengthening of the expertise of organizations in the field of animation
On the return to France, a public return of results will be organized. A summary document will be also produced and disseminated.
