This module aims at systematizing within EHESP School of Public Health the learning on European issues transcending the presupposition of a juridical incompetence of the European Union in these fields. It also intends to show how these areas are concretely Europeanized and how it impacts on professional and administrative practices.The specificity of this project relies, for a large part, on the status of the EHESP School of Public Health which is both a training school for managers in the public health care and social welfare fields and a research centre on public health and public policies in those areas.The common-core syllabus will focus on crosscutting knowledge on the European building through three dimensions:• The description of the institutional organization and the political science approach of the European building;• The sociological approach of Europeanization;• The presentation of the European Social Funds as specific tools to foster and frame innovative projects.Beyond this common-core syllabus, five topics will be proposed to focused target audiences :• The health Europe• The medicine• The long-term care• The social welfare• The youth policiesThis module will allow to enhance teaching on European policies but also to launch a research dynamic as the EHESP already hosts several masters and PhD students specialized in these fields (master on administration of public health policies and public health programs, master on situations of disability and social participation, master on youth policies and youth work). Moreover, of lot of civil servant-students do a long-term foreign placement. They will be proposed to devote their works to national trajectories regarding Europeanization in their area of competence.
