L’Europe du piano seeks to develop piano audiences by reinforcing the sector professional careers. This cooperation project will forge bounds between different actors from the piano world (academies, festivals, etc) and thus, develop innovative models for piano circulation in Europe and in the World. One of the priorities will be to promote the professional integration of young pianists by a support through specific trainings : musicological, technical and vocational. Every year, five pianists will be selected and benefit from this companionship to structure their careers. The crossed cooperation put in place with the different partners will allow a competences and know-how exchange dedicated to a strong axe of audience development. Three axes of work are highlighted. The first one consist of boosting cooperation between diverse actors of the sector (competence, know-how and practice sharing towards the creation of innovative exchange models). The second axe will prioritise the structuration and stimulation of beneficiaries professional careers (young pianists and actors of the sector). The last axe support the audience development through pioneer mediation strategies. Coming from 3 European countries, the partners are various and complementary actors of the piano professional world. They all share habits to work internationaly. Their own experiences and their network will be strong assets to the project development and implementation. In order to increase the network and to give an international dimension to the project l’Europe du piano, associate partners will complete the circle of co-organisers. The Netherlands, France, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Armenia, China and Vietnam will enlarge the areas of actions, allow a strong visibility and a superior development of the cooperation.
