PROJECT
FINISHED
The schools’ goal is to further expand our existing regional network and to build-up the internal network upon the European and international level. We would like to provide an opportunity for apprentices, students, professionals and regional teachers to gain perceptions through new learning styles, acquisition of professional expertise and cultural experience. Seen from this angle we set our goals for this project. And we want to carry on these goals strategically to lead us to internationalization.
Teachers and apprentices have been on site and successfully implemented our aims, they even exceeded them. Kiskunhalas is the partner town of the city of Kronach. There are various mutual relationships of the secondary schools, tourism associations and clubs. With this project we wanted to transfer the thought of networking to further participants, because the dual vocational training also links different learning centers, teachers and students. The region around Kiskunhalas is similarly structured as the county of Kronach. For a development of the region qualified personnel is needed. There are demographic characteristics in our region:
• There are decreasingly young people who stay and live in the region. This is a big challenge for all participants.
• Our training companies maintain various European and international contacts.
One of our goals was to train the assistants of the future, who are now doing their apprenticeships, and to prepare them for the requirements of the European and international job market. The region Upper Franconia should be attractive for young people. With Eramus+ and our project Hungary we can expand, maintain and refine our contacts. This offers our students, teachers and instructors the opportunity of a national and international exchange on the long-term and a development within the vocational training. All participants’ experiences and impressions were published, duplicated and widespread – the reason why we accomplished recognition and aroused interest.
Furthermore, the cooperation with our partner lead and leads everyone to open up nationally towards professional competence and language skills. Our school could apply this on different training courses: industrial-technical training courses and tourism – gastronomy and the commercial field. Specific projects have been performed on-site our partners. Also learning contents and curricula have been compared and evaluated. Our consistent goal is to integrate all participants of the training.
The trainees of metalworking industry realized two big projects: building a football table and a smoke oven. They did this together with teaching staff, students and teachers of both organizations, while reflecting contents of the curriculum. Their approach was: collecting information, schedule and assemble the football table and the smoke oven in the schools’ workshops in Kiskunhalas. The tourism students could do different internships, for example at an equestrian farm, on vineyards, restaurants and leisure facilities. Our partner on-site helped tremendously and made contact with local businesses and supported us steadily.
Along with the professional exchange and activities there were a lot of opportunities for cultural exchange. There were events, joint festivals, city trips und museum visits as well as joint cooking and eating.
With the project, which lasted two years, there were the following mobilities: 2 head masters, training staff, 10 students of metalworking and 30 students of tourism management.
We best realized our strategy within the project to set our school up internationally. Vocational training staff created together with our partner plans to implement our project. They were concerned with the structure of the educational system and the establishments which are involved in the vocational training. The project was planned, that all the individual modules could merge into a complex project.
Results have been evaluated and presented. The prevalence of all results takes place within and beyond the school through lectures, presentations, internet, and invitations to the handover of the Europass as well as through reports in regional press.
While applying for the project in 2014 we had no knowledge about ECVET and partnership agreements, because it was the first project for us with Erasmus+ formalities. Yet, we did everything properly. There were learning agreements and a partnership agreement. We are very proud that we reached all our goals and even surpassed them.
