PROJECT
FINISHED
Vikinga skola, a primary school, in Vasa Finland wish to implement the project “ Creative force in teaching, creative teachingmethods”. The everyday work in school is becoming more and more stressed. It is hard for many teachers to find the joy and creativity in their teaching. In our coming curriculum 2016 creative teachingmethods are more emphasized than before. One mainpoint in the objectives of the curriculum is the joy in learning for the pupils.
To reach these goals in best ways possible we wish to approach more creative teachingmethods in our daily work. As teachers and teaching staff we need more inspiration and new approaches on creativity in our teaching. We also wish to get new contacts with other groups of pupils and teachers in schools in other European countries. This as a part of the work with equality that we are doing in our school, and also for the pupils internationalisation and their European sitizenship.
Within the project we apply for specialeducationteacher/specialclasseducationteacher Gun Eriksson and classteacher Asa Aberg to participate in the course “The art of teaching” on Fatalamanga farm in Albarebello, Italy 1.8-9.8.2015. The course provides trainingsessions with art, dance, music and drama to awaken the participants inner creativity, and to develop creative teachingmethods.
Our project will contain different creative teachingmethods as drama, dance, singing, playing instruments and different kinds of making arts. The participants in our school are expected to inspire and further educate the other of the staff in the school. Through the current work with the new curriculum 2016 the project can do an impact also on the other Swedish-speaking teachers in the schools of Vasa. The pupils in Vikinga skola will be affected by the project through the development and the further education of the teachers.
Through the project the organisation wishes that the teachers would become more creative and that they would use more creative teachingmethods according to the curriculum 2016. For the pupils we wish a broadened sight on their european citizenship and experince of the same.
