Key to Mobility - Key competences as the key to achieving unhindered access to mobility for youth at risk

Context: Young people at risk with deficits in school and/or social problems as well as young migrants need targeted support for a successful start into their working life. In order to make Europe ready for facing the challenges, it needs a skilled and mobile European labour force, working in a Europe where mobility barriers have been broken down. As regards youth at risk, these barriers lie particularly in the absence of key competences crucial for mobility and the labour market. Target group: Young people at risk with deficits in school and/or social problems as well as young migrants & their teachers and trainersMain aims of the project: - providing disadvantaged young people with key mobility competences crucial for their integration in further training and/or the labour market - developing a praxis module for the ‘gatekeepers’ to offer custom-fit support and prepare youth at risk for mobility during their training through the transfer and adaptation of innovative best practice from ESF - improving the framework conditions for mobility for youth at risk on the part of educational institutions and beyondEnvisaged outcome: The key outcome of the project is the training module ‘Key to mobility’ consisting of the elements: 1) custom-fit support and training strategy (measures: profiling & assessment; job market contacts; qualification training in job market relevant key competences) 2) ‘Mobility trainer’ qualification3) ‘Mobility training for youth at risk’ Expected impact: - Better trained teachers and trainers to provide students at risk with adequate and targeted support during their training to help them develop their mobility competences- The students at risk will gain a better understanding of their own skills and key competences.
