The aim of the project is to promote active citizenship of young people, particularly European citizenship and attitudes of tolerance, openness and strengthening and cooperation between young people from different countries. In addition, through the participation of young Europeans in international volunteering their potential will be built. Young people will gain new competencies, skills and knowledge desirable for the European labor market.The project consists of 13 activities (9 activities are hosting volunteers in Poland and 4 are sending Polish volunteers to Greece and Italy). The activities are focused on three target groups:- 13 volunteers: from Spain (5 people), Italy (3 persons), France (2 persons), Slovenia (1 person), Hungary (1 person), Cyprus (1 person) and 7 Polish volunteers (5 will be hosted in Greek town of Xylokastro and 2 in the Italian Mantova);- Partner organizations: 6 host organizations in Poland, 1 host organization in Greece and 1 in Italy plus 9 sending organizations from the Programme Countries and one sending organization in Poland (which is also the coordinating organization - CWM);- local community of Tricity, Xylokastro and Mantova.Volunteers in Poland will be working on 5 different fields. All projects will last 12 months:- Work with children and young people from families with "problems" in community centers run by the Association for Children and Youth "Vitava" and the Association of St. Nicholas the Bishop. Vitava Association will host one volunteer from Hungary from March 2016 and the Society of St. Nicholas also one person from Italy from March 2016- Work with the local community in the districts of Gdynia in 3 different branches of the City Public Library in Gdynia:2 volunteers from Italy (since January and September 2016 and 1 volunteer from Spain since September 2016.- Working with people with intellectual disabilities in the Foundation Adapa, 2 volunteers from Spain, 1 person in February, and the second from March 2016.- Work in the Foundation of Social Changes "Creative" with the local community at risk of social exclusion in different units of the organization - the residents' centre ”Apteka” and in two day-care centers in the districts of Gdynia - Oksywie or Dabrowa. In total, the organization will host five volunteers - 2 persons from France (1 from March and 1 from May 2016.), 1 person from Slovenia (since March 2016), 1 person from Cyprus and one from Spain (since May 2016. )- Work with disabled children on the basis of dogotheraphy in Foundation Dogtor, 1 volunteer from Spain since February 2016.When it comes to sending polish volunteers for projects abroad CWM will be sending organization for five Polish volunteers who will be hosted by the Greek organization Orfeas based in Xylokastro and for 2 volunteers who will be hosted by the Italian organization Alce Nero in Mantova. In Greece, the volunteers will assist teachers in working with children in kindergarten and at the Center for Creative Work (all projects last six months, from February 2016 2 people, from May 2016 1 person, from August 2016 2 people) and in Italy they will support educators working in centers for children of immigrants (they will stay 8 months from August 2016).As a result of the project all the volunteers from Programme Countries will develop their selfs as well as the local community and the organizations involved in the project. The interest and participation of young people in hte local and international community activities will increase together with their sense of efficacy and the desire to create the surrounding reality. Those involved directly and indirectly in activities through contact with people from other countries will broaden their horizons, become more tolerant and open to dialogue and international cooperation. All the European Volunteers will acquire new skills and knowledge that will be useful in their later professional and personal development.
