The One World in School program of People in need organization has been focusing on young people´s civic engagement projects for the past eight years. Our goal is to support civic society in the Czech republic. Young people 18-25 years of age included in this project will use structural political dialogue to improve their project proposals which they are going to organize in their communities. During two intensive two and three day workshops they will have the opportunity to work with political stakeholders and speak with them about ways to improve their projects so that they have a greater chance to succeed. They will also participate in workshops in order to imrpote their retorical, presentation or negotiating skills. At the end of the project the participant will také part in a three round contest, where they will present their project and simulate political duels with other contestants. The winner will be supported financially. The goal is to inspire young people to be willing to enter politics and be able to navigate the political systém, so that they improve the chance of their projects to be successfull. The effect should be seen also on the side of the policy makers whom we want to assist in understanding the need of young people and improve their relationship with them as currently young people do not seem to be among the target fgroups of many of the political parties in the Czech Republic and they do not seem to be able effectively comunicate with them. Through a joint dialogue and the work on projects the project will support mutual understing of policy makers and young people and that young people will be more interested in joining politics.
