PROJECT
FINISHED
The Kaleidoscope was a TEAM Teatrikon Foundation project which includes international cooperation in the field of designing public space during the training course and after it is finished – in the participants’ communities. It is a project based on education and creativity. By means of this project, we have equipped the participants with the knowledge and experience in working with youth and also developed their knowledge and awareness of public spaces and the possibility of reshaping them through street art. In the course of the project, we have conducted a series of workshops for culture educators. There was also a chance to try out the newly acquired skills in practice in the course of creating installation art by the participants. 19 people who work with youth on daily basis and who are interested in developing their trainer skills and in street art have taken part in the project. The main topics included in the project were: competence of culture educators, an individual’s influence on creating their surroundings, ways of investigating the needs of local communities, and developing the ability to answer such needs.
Thanks to an e-brochure published as part of the project evaluation stage, the results of the project have been popularized along with photographic evidence. The skills and experience acquired in the course of the project has been transferred to the local communities of the project’s participants and the participants use them in everyday work.
