The SYNAPSIS Foundation has developed the team of professionals for 25 years. The team consists of approx. 100 employees, who provide services for people with autism (ASD) and their families. A dynamic development of research, education and rehabilitation methods in autism as well as recent developments in the use of new tools for the early detection and tools to work for social and professional individuals with autism. FS has been trying to implement a new knowledge in Poland by trainings, conferences, courses, internships, lectures and translating publications for various target groups. This type of actions is particularly important, since needs of people with autism are growing (UNO considered autism to be one of the most important health problems of the world) and universities in Poland do not train specialists in autism.The SYNAPSIS Foundation extended its education offer of the difficult subject of very young children autism early detection combined with the new screening and diagnostic tools as well as programme of short-term accommodation (respite home) for learning people with ASD to be independent. The Programme of Early Diagnosing of Autism for very small children increases the effectiveness of therapy. So it is very important to educate staff of new methods in this field in Poland. The idea to implement Programme of Early Diagnosing of Autism "Badabada" is the answer for the problem of proper diagnosis for small children. The planned project mobility is to send 3 employees of the Foundation staff for XI Autism-Europe International Congress, Edinburgh, Scotland, September 16-18. 2016. Autism-Europe’s international congresses are dedicated to sharing advances in practical and scientific knowledge about autism to as wide an audience as possible, including researchers, professionals, parents and self-advocates. The theme of the 2016 Congress is ‘Happy, healthy and empowered’. The Congress will focus on the most recent developments across the field of autism, including causes, genetics, diagnosis, early intervention, treatments, education, support, employment, rights and policies, and many more. The Congress will also cover the evolution of knowledge, rights and services for people with autism, as well as providing insight into future developments in knowledge and technologies for those on the autism spectrum, which may soon become a part of everyday life.Staff working on The Programme of Early Diagnosing of Autism and activieties focused on the development of the care system for infants and young children has been proposed speech during the Congres. They will have an opportunity to present the FS experience. FS presentation in the international arena is really important because of the currently activieties undertaken by the Foundation:- Advocacy activieties- Clinical activieties- Training and education activieties- Promotional activieties- Evaluation activietiesFor organization such professional as the SYNAPSIS Foundation getting to know the results of the latest international research is very important to give effective help to people with autism in Poland. Use of new research achievements in working with people with autism or Asperger Syndrome will have an impact on the development of social and communication skills of these people. It can improve the life quality of people with autism as well as their families. It also has a huge impact on the effectiveness of the education process of these people.After participating in the Congress FS staff will organize internal training for therapists to share acquired knowledge. After the implementation of new solutions and assessing their effectiveness, workshops will be organized for people from the outside of The Foundation, eg . employees of other organizations, parents, teachers, therapists, psychologists and for the people with autism and Asperger Syndrome.
