The mission of this youth exchange is to fight youth unemployment and increase chances of participating youth and youth which will be reached indirectly by this project to find a job. We set the following objectives:
- To foster participation of young people;
- To promote social inclusion for youth;
- To encourage creativity and entrepreneurship skills for the usage of increasing employment opportunities;
- To develop young people’s cultural awareness and contribute to inter-cultural learning;
- To support to young people with fewer opportunities living in rural or deprived urban areas;
- To promote youth’s involvement in voluntary work;
- To encourage the creation of future projects within Erasmus+ Program.
42 participants from Lithuania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Spain - unemployed young people searching for a job and youth from rural area who face many obstacles for active inclusion into community life and labor market, will gather for the activities that contributes not only to informal and non-formal learning by participants but also their social, cultural and personal development, as they will get theoretical information and knowledge concerning the topics that will be discussed during the event, learn not only about the youth unemployment and solutions, but also their cultural particularities and specifics, apply the acquired knowledge in practice such as forum theatre activity etc. The main part of the program will consist of group works, group presentations, meetings with the locals. By the end of the exchange we want participants to become more motivated to create new projects which will involve and promote participation of young people, non formal education as a tool for employment and development.
The unemployed young people will get valuable information and gain necessary practical skills to transfer to other young people. Considering that in the activity programme there are involved meetings with other young people (EVS volunteers, Erasmus students, local community) we expect that these meetings will have a positive impact not only one side - participants, but also the other side - mentioned guests, it will encourage them to share their experiences, get involved more into community activities, local initiatives, will get them familiar with Erasmus+ Programme and hopefully will encourage them to use its opportunities more.
