PROJECT
FINISHED
The main aim of JoinThEvs’s project is to provide a highly educational experience to the volunteers involved and to make them learn new competences through a scheduled programme based on service’s activities that consider each volunteer’s specific profile and inclination. The core project’s idea is based on Joint renewed will in hosting EVS volunteers, considering our new operative space (in Riva di Trento). We believe that having EVS volunteers joining our working environment will encourage the development of new skills, competences and abilities’ at a bilateral level (both for the Joint’s staff and the volunteers themselves) in a social and educational dimension. We aim to host 2 short-term volunteers and 2 long-term volunteers.Short-term volunteers are two volunteers with fewer opportunities, coming from Hungary and Portugal. They are 25 and 28 years old, respectively. During the activities we’ve planned for the short-term EVS they’ll have the chance to experience a strongly educational learning opportunity in an intercultural context and to acquaint themselves with non formal learning methods , Joint main working areas during the past years. These short-term volunteers will mainly work in Riva di Trento’s space e they’ll mostly be involved in:- Setting up, cleaning and preparing the space and its manteining service;- Organising and promoting creative recycling workshop open for the community;- Creative painting activities- Cycling fixing laboratoryThe 2 long-term volunteers we have selected are a Russian boy (26 years old) and a Serbian girl (28 years old). They will do a 10 months Evs and they will do their activities both in Riva di Trento space and in Joint’s main office (in Via Antonio Giovanola), working on:- After-schooling activities;- Artistic, cultural and linguistic workshop- Open events for the local community- Supporting communication, social media and editing sector- Sustaining orientation, promotion and contacts’ management for EVS, Youth Exchanges and Workcamps sector. Thanks to their activities all the EVS volunteers involved in JoinThEvs project will develop transversal competences, growing up as persons, improving their communicative, interacting, professional abilities and learing new ones.Volunteers will learn how to deal with: new contexts, educational and working methods and new practices, working in their hosting local environment.Volunteers’ educational path will be guided and facilitated. Their learning programme will be constantly monitored, as well as their general well-being, also by planned trainings and evaluation’s meetings, throughout the project. To do so, mostly the coordinator and the mentor will have a pivotal role. The expected impact will be very strong on the volunteers and the organisations involved. At a local level it’ll concern both direct and indirect beneficiaries: children attending the afterschooling and their families, and also neighbour’s users.Besides that, the project forsees several meetings, events and initiatives that will help a multilevel impact and will give visibility to the project’s results and to the Erasmus+ Programme.
