Iris Flagship Initiative (IFI) was a project funded by Erasmus +, KA1, coordinated by the association Wild Carpathia, developed in Sighisoara, Romania, consisting of 8 mobilities up to 10 months each in order to meet the need for young people to develop certain key skills useful later for access the labor market in the fields of art, culture and traditions and to offer them at the same time new information about entrepreneurial culture in these domains. The 8 young volunteers were selected and sent to Romania by the three partner associations I- PEICC peuple et culture from France (2 persons), Jump In from Italy (4 persons) and Fundació Catalunya volunteers from Spain (2 persons), as sending promoters and the activities were coordinated by the host association Wild Carpathia from Romania. All the 8 mobilities were held between 01/02/2015 - 11/30/2015 the young volunteers activities being proposed as a complex in order to reach as many areas of interest, theater, painting, dance, creativity, events, planning , etc. In collaboration with local partners Kids Club Sighisoara, Gymnasium Radu Popa Cultural Centre for Interethnic Youth, Foundation Veritas and County School Inspectorate Mures, the volunteers succeeded during their stay in Sighisoara to support workshops for non-formal education, workshops for foreign languages, promotion campaigns, to direct and to stage a play, create a blog, contribute to the organization of the Medieval Festival in Sighisoara, to support a summer camp for children, to make a thematic movie and to organize a farewell show at the end of the project. The main objectives of the proposed project were improving skills of the 8 young people and promoting values ​​such as active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, solidarity and social inclusion. This project had a significant impact on the participants, EVS volunteers, the partner organizations abroad and local partners, the local beneficiaries and on Sighisoara community in general.
