PROJECT
FINISHED
Technical School Silkeborg has as a strategic goal that all students should have an international dimension in their vocational education. In cooperation with good partners in Germany and Finland, the school would like to send students for practical training or study exchange as a part of their basic training in the fields of education covering building and construction, metalwork and welding and car mechanics. In addition, the school wishes to spread out the international work to a larger part of the educational staff, by sending teachers and vocational trainers abroad to a vocational school in Finland or Germany.
The activities of the project will be:
-Seven students going for vocational training in a company in Germany in two flows - one every spring semester in the two-year project.
-Eight students going for exchange study in a vocational school in Finland for four weeks in two flows - one every year in the project.
In all student mobilities a teacher will accompany the students the first week, as the students are in their basic training, are quite young and some have low social and learning abilities.
-Six mobilities for teachers in a vocational school in Finland or Germany for two weeks.
The aim of the project is to strengthen at widen the collaboration between the partners and to give the participants another perspective on them self and on their capabilities. The goal is to give the students better opportunities for finding work practice in a company after the basic training. Some of the students might even be motivated to apply for an apprenticeship abroad.
