International integration training - success on the labour market according the European standards for hairdressers, makeup specialists and cosmeticians
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The main goal of this project it is to further improve the skills acquired during practical work by offering to our participants international practical experience. The goals of mobility are to nurture collaborative processes, flow of information at all levels and exchange of good practices. This is observed as excellent opportunity for our participants at PCSO to get exposed to EU schools' experiences and practices. PCSO always has followed European standards in the filed of hairdressing and we have discovered that all European countries have their own national systems for the education and qualification of hairdressers and entrepreneurs. Some years ago, European social partners for hairdressing launched the idea of developing a European Hairdressing Certificate in order to create a common top quality training system, which would give hairdressing an even higher ranking in the EU and at national level provide a basis for common developments and increasing income for the sector. In January 2013 Coiffure EU launched the ’European Hairdressing Certificate (EHC)'. The European Hairdressing Certificate is a common high standard that ensures a good reputation for the sector. It is also a common language for hairdressers and the basis for developing training systems. The European Hairdressing Certificate is based on the following three levels:- Level A - The national training and qualification system- Level B - The European Hairdressing Certificate that meets European standards for the qualification of hairdressers. These standards do not replace national standards, but ensure that your national standards meet European standards.- Level C - European management level C for qualifying as a European entrepreneur based on the European Hairdressing Certificate. These management standards also do not replace national standards, but ensure that your national standards meet European management standards and can be accepted as such.Of really high importance is to mention that through this mobility PCSO for the first time will bring hair planting techniques to Macedonia, therefore Macedonian customers for the first time will have the possibility to plant hair in Macedonia instead of traveling abroad and having additional expenses. This will further increase the competitiveness and the quality of the services in the sector. The strategic goal of the project is to improve the overall quality of the vocational education in the field of hairdressing in Macedonia and to increase the level of knowledge, skills and competitiveness of the PCSO on the educational market. Once the visit is completed, it is expected that partners will continue cooperating and exchanging experiences in the years to come. The context of our project is to strengthen our institution. Our objectives, which will help our institution to became an role model to other educational institutions in our community are:- bringing positive and long-lasting effects on the participants involved;- increasing the capacity to cooperate on international level;- revising and strengthening the professional profile of the teaching professions;- improvement of foreign language competencies;- enhancing the inter-cultural and inter linguistic awareness;- promoting more active participation in society;- improvement of the competencies, linked to the trainees’ professional profiles;- promoting broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in education;- promoting greater understanding and responsiveness to social, linguistic and cultural diversity;- increase motivation and satisfaction in the learners daily tasks;- provide learners with ready‐to‐use materials. Our expected impact is:- Improvement of the level of key competences and skills;- positive and long-lasting effects on the participants involved;- increased capacity to cooperate on international level;- internationalization at the level of education;- broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in education;- encouragement of sharing best practices, ideas and materials;- acquisition of practical language to be used in the classroom;- heightened awareness of different techniques;- Acquisition of new techniques, ideas, sources of materials. The results of all activities taken for the whole duration of the project will be used in the dissemination and evaluation phase. We truly believe that after conducting this project, we as a team and our institution will make a step further, a step closer to the motto of the European Union, United in Diversity, and to the adoption of the European policies for education and European Strategy 2020.
