PROJECT
FINISHED
The InterActive EuroCulture youth exchange was inspired by the successful project of the European Union that designates every year, since 1985, one or several cities with the title of The European Capital of Culture. This ingenuous way to connect three distinct subjects: culture, european citizenship and volunteering has encouraged us to apply the same fusion of topics and bring together 25 young people from 5 different countries to discuss and experience them.
The main objective of the project is: the consolidation of the european cultural identity among the young participants of the youth exchange through the development of cultural management competencies and active citizenship stimulation. We also aim at increasing the awareness regarding the importance of active participation in the development of their communities among their members just through the exposal to the activities of the project.
During 10 days of the project the participants will discover the role of culture in both building the european identity and establishing human connection, will develop competencies of cultural management and apply principles of active citizenship in the development of their communities from the cultural perspective. The learning methods used during the activities are: brainstorming, discussions and debates, exchange of good practices, workshops, the realization of digital materials, study visits, reflection groups, research and planning, discussions with an expert simulation, city quest, the organization of an event. The group learning process will be boosted by gettng to know each other and teambuilding activities, intercultural exchange.
Our purpose is to draw attention the attention of our young participants on the importance, in the European context, of active citizenship as the engine of development in one's community and, as a long term impact - to stimulate their engagement in this process.
