Project Inter - Agro - Flora was a project of a consortium of three Croatian agricultural schools. Schools that make up the consortium are Gospodarska škola from Čakovec, Srednja škola Arboretum Opeka, Marčan and Srednja gospodarska škola Križevci . It was essential to establish consortium and the association of educational institutions and labor market. It was needed at the national and international level. It developed a common economy across the EU. It established such a consortuim and association because we wanted the quality of education to be satisfactory to the all EU. Foreign partners involved in this project and responded to the needs of improving the quality of vocational education are : Ocean Orchids from Slovenia Biotehnički center Naklo from Slovenia Dionisos agricultura biologica from Spain ŚODR w Modliszewicach from Poland I.T.S. Ignacio Calvi from Italy König GbR from Germany The project objectives were defined on different levels: a personal, students level, the school level , the consortium and international level. On a personal level of students, teachers and staff goals were set by this project are: acquiring and increasing professional, entrepreneurial, language and personal competencies . Sending institution will increase the quality of teaching and implementation of projects, better recognition of acquired skills and knowledge to participants by the school . At the consortium level: sending institutions were conected better amongs themselves, national consortium was established, and through examples of good practice other schools were attracted to join the consortium. At the international level: international and intercultural connection and also connecting the education sector and the labor market, the internationalization of institutions involved in this project . The project consortium was intended for students of second, third and fourth grades of vocational, agricultural education and students who completed their vocational training in the agricultural sector in the academic yer 2014/15.. In total there were 94 students and 17 vocational teachers included. When choosing a partner we were guided by the principle of quality, innovation, ecological principles and sustainable development, implementation of new technologies and expertise with the aim to cover all areas of agricultural production. Also partners were chosen and according to the wishes of students selected for professional practice as reported in the survey. Partners bring rich knowledge in production technology and the promotion of wine, glasshouse production and application of the latest technologies in the production of orchids, healthy food production imposed by the demanding EU market, the use of modern technology in the production and storage of high-quality apples and its processing, Global GAP certification of products. Partner schools work together with private agricultural businesses as the engine of innovative activities in agriculture and joint projects for the development of agriculture in the region. Professional and entrepreneurial competence lead to detailed knowledge and understanding of new technologies in manufacturing, knowledge of the business and the organization of the company, cooperative learning and team work, better work attitude, knowledge of the structure of vocational education abroad. Language competence lead to better cross-cultural communication and understanding of vocabulary and learning about the culture, lifestyle and customs of the host country, increasing independence and taking responsibility for their own learning. All this ultimately contributed in improving the quality of vocational education and raising the competence of future professionals as holders of the European economy. It increased competitiveness and employability of students by taking part in mobilities. It promoted the inclusion of a greater number of participants in mobility, as well it made recognition of acquired skills more transparent. It increased employability which is in accordance to the provisions EU set out in Bruges Communique and Europe 2020. All this also reduced prejudices towards diversity and discrimination and violence of any kind: national, religious, gender and social.
