Intelligent Diet and Lifestyles in Europe
Start date: Dec 1, 2007,
The IDLE project undertook the design development and testing of a series of integrated educational activities aimed at increasing public awareness on health education and intelligent diet issues. Targeting both young people and adults, the project aimed to both raise awareness on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to improve the nutritional knowledge of consumers. Beginning with a survey on health education for adults across the participating countries, activities also included the dissemination of health education strategies and examples of good practice, the hosting of focus groups to investigate how healthy lifestyle messages are relayed and perceived and the development and testing of innovative training materials, including an e-learning course, building upon the findings of the IDLE project. Key outputs include the developed e-Learning course alongside a lecturers manual and other, more general, health promotion materials.
