The training course “Inside Out: Let the talent be your guide” is designed to support the process of raising self-awareness in search of our true potential. Talent is the aim, the learning process is the way, the identity is the key to know how. During 5 days of intensive sessions the participants will learn about the process of developing talents and components of learning in order to plan better their development as well as to support development of their youngsters. The programme will offer various activities for raising self-awareness as well as theoretical input raising the knowledge of the topic. First we will learn what are talents and aptitudes and what is the role of passion in talent development. We will start the journey with understanding better who we are and what are our strengths and passions. We will define what is talent and what are its components. After understanding the key concepts of talent development we will explore some of them in more practical way. We will focus on vulnerability, creativity and motivation. We will also have a chance to interact with local community and use our passions and talents to promote Erasmus+ and organise a little event promoting concept of talent development. At the end we will reflect on learning process itself and a role of self-reflection and accountability in the process of development. The project will take place 8-14 November 2016 in Sassello, Italy. There will be 24 people from 10 countries: Italy, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Romania, Spain, Croatia, Portugal. The participants are supposed to be people involved in youth work: educators or project managers for whom the project is a chance to increase opportunities for their organisation or community. As one of the objectives of TC is to design and plan the little action the participants can implement back home, it’s important that they really have a chance to do it. It’s also important that they are ready to share and reflect on their personal experience and use it as a source of information for other people. This training course is already a follow-up of another training about the topic of talent development. We deeply believe that importance of promoting this concept among non-governmental organisations will contribute to more structured way of cooperation that will create a lot of opportunities for youth workers and youngsters to discover and develop their talents. As a result, we hope to have an alternative way of supporting youngsters in their fight with unemployment as well as supporting youth workers in increasing their job satisfaction.
