The main objectives of the current project are focused on the following areas: science and education, new technologies and innovation, cooperation and culture. For the implementation of these objectives we have formulated specific goals in the field of foreign languages.In the field of foreign languages: This course is suitable for English teachers who would like to learn more about the methods of teaching English as a foreign language, and to wield new modern practices for teaching in order to improve and enrich students' knowledge. The key concept of the course is creative teaching and mastering the language in terms of communication. The presented approach is humanistic, based on different tasks and cooperation among students, so as to create favorable environment for an effective and emotional learning. The stress is on practical classroom activities, the use of various resources that foster the use of diverse teaching methods. Activities and resources being applied are: ICT and online resources for the classroom; group work and co-telling; drama, role playing, theater-based activities and non-verbal communication, Art and English, communication games, creative writing and other literary activities, discussions and interviews, effective pronunciation. The participation of our teachers in such an innovative methodological course for teaching English will provide participants with a variety of teaching techniques for the classroom. Communication between teachers from different countries and teamwork will contribute to the application of innovative approaches in learning, and the share of the best practices. The project will be a prerequisite for the establishment of partnerships and work in prospective European projects. The qualification course is to enable teachers to get to know cultural differences and share ideas with other European nationalities. Working in an English speaking environment other than national, will enhance the participants’ foreign language skills. In the long term implementation of these objectives will help to improve the image of the high school.Two English teachers would take part in the project, with the necessary education, employment service and meeting the criteria for participation in this mobility. The training activity will be carried out by the partner organization English Matters, headquartered in Madrid, Spain. However, it will be held at the University of Leeds, UK by highly qualified English professors. The choice for this European Educational Institution was made after thorough research, taking into account the experience in such type of course, the subject of training, which meets the European Development Plan for our school, and course fee that fits project funding for staff mobility in school education. The course is related to the new method of teaching English - "21st century - a new approach for English teachers."Dissemination of results of the project "Innovative methods of teaching English" will be aimed at teachers and students (future users), parents, employers, university teachers, representatives of the RIE – Burgas, Burgas Municipality and the public of Burgas through various formats: presentations (PPT, Prezi, etc.), conduction of "open" lessons, use of innovative teaching materials or manuals, professional articles, brochures and newsletters, blogs, web pages, posting messages on a local, regional and national press, radio and TV appearances by local media, lectures and seminars, etc. We will also use the Forum "Find a Partner" and "Teacher Zone" in the English Matters webside - www.englishmatters.org. International cooperation relations, which we expect to establish with the other participants in this training course, will expand the European dimension of our school, which will provide the opportunity for exchange and dissemination of professional knowledge and examples of good practices at European level by applying specific ideas from other European colleagues. Results can be distributed by initiating international projects with accordance with the use of collaboration tools, e-twinning or other similar European tools to access school contacts. The training program of English Matters will be able to contribute to the improvement of the teaching quality and staff competencies in many different ways: facilitating teaching through the use of the teachers’ experience acquired in authentic cultural aspects; gaining professional experience at an international level, establishing partnerships with colleagues from other countries to enhance the professional experience and its application in the curriculum. Overall this course would have a greater European value than one held in Bulgaria as it is held in Leeds, UK.
